Description

We present natural juniper needle hydrolate for animals, obtained from a plant of the species Juniperus communis. In international practice, the hydrolate is referred to as Juniper Needle natural hydrolate for animals. Systematics places the species in the family Cupressaceae. Only the needle mass is processed, and the needle-like appearance of the leaves remains unchanged throughout growth, while the whorls arrange the needles along the twigs. The plants develop in Bulgaria under a natural regime that sets synthetic agents aside. Steam distillation keeps the aroma close to the original material, since no solvents take part in obtaining the liquid and the volatile fraction comes only from the needles. The oxygenated volatile compounds collect in the aqueous phase and determine its aromatic direction. The strength of the aroma is at a medium level. The fresh, piney character of the scent receives resinous support in the overall tone. Monoterpene hydrocarbons dominate the volatile fraction of the needles, with pinene and sabinene taking the first places among them. The distillate remains liquid and clear, and its color lies between colorless and pale yellow. The grayish waxy bloom is visible on the stomatal band of the upper side. The needle raw material explains the faint color, because mostly colorless substances pass into the aqueous part, while the green pigments remain in the leaves of the plant. The natural composition does not accept preservatives or colorants. In addition, the natural method of cultivation and the raw material limited to the needles produce a liquid that contains only plant substances and water. Storage

Use only aluminum or glass bottles for animal products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for animals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
